Four features decide whether a tool fits your group. Present or absent, checked on each provider's own pages on 2 November 2026. No ratings, no traffic numbers, no price scrape.

Checked 2 November 2026 on each provider's public pages. "Not shown publicly" means the field was not visible there โ€” it does not mean the feature is missing. Links go to the providers' own sites; nothing about their traffic, pricing or reviews is reproduced here.

How to read the table

The account row is the one that changes a group's experience. This site and DrawNames both hand out a link; Elfster asks each participant to join, which buys year-round wishlists and reminders in return.

The exclusion row is where the wording matters. On this site an exclusion is a pair and it applies both ways: add Ana and Ben, and neither can draw the other. Elfster's draw restrictions are set per person, so keeping a couple apart takes two ticks. Both approaches do the same job; one takes fewer clicks.

Where this site is different

When one of the others fits better

Choose Elfster if the group wants a year-round wishlist, reminders and a gift shop around the exchange. Choose DrawNames if you want a long-running wishlist service with an app and you are comfortable with its interface. Both are established products; this site is one developer's tool with a narrower job, and the narrower job is the point.

The longer, five-tool comparison is on generator alternatives. How the draw itself works is on how the draw works, and the sources behind this table are listed on methodology.

Questions

Is this comparison independent?

It records what each provider's public pages showed on 2026-11-02. This site does not earn anything from the links; they go to the providers' own sites.

Do you test the other tools?

No. The comparison is present or absent for four features, not a hands-on review, so it says nothing about reliability or support.

Why not compare prices?

Competitor pricing changes and scraping it would date the page within weeks. The four features here are what decide whether an office can use a tool at all.
