How the rules work
Exclusions: open “Rules, budget & date” in the tool above, add each pair that must not draw each other, and the draw respects it in both directions. Budget: type the cap once; it appears on every reveal page. Wishlists: each person writes theirs on their own link, and their Santa sees it on the reveal page.
How this Secret Santa generator draws names
- Names in. One per line, 3 to 100 people.
- Rules applied. Nobody draws themselves, and every exclusion pair is respected in both directions.
- Secure shuffle. Names are shuffled with a cryptographically secure random generator and every rule is checked before the result is saved.
- Private delivery. Each person gets their own reveal link to send by WhatsApp, text or email.

If a draw is impossible
Too many exclusions can leave a person with nobody valid to draw. The generator detects this and tells you which rules to relax instead of producing a broken result.

How does a Secret Santa generator work?
You enter the names, add any exclusions, and the generator assigns each person one other person to buy for. Nobody draws themselves and every exclusion is respected.
Can the organizer take part?
Yes. The organizer page lists private links, not pairings, so the organizer can draw like everyone else.
How do people find out who they drew?
Each person opens their own private link. It shows their match, the budget, the date and their match's wishlist.
How many names can I enter?
From 3 to 100 in one group.
